I’ve been getting a Windows 80244019 error sometimes – when manually performing a Windows Update on a new Win 7 Pro install. I’ve resolved this several times by restarting the Windows Update service (Control Panel->Administrative Tools->Component Services->Services->Windows Update Stop & then Start).
