Nice little article on how to restore from DDBoost with no catalog and a lost control file.
Key is to have the DBID and the RMAN backup logs – so that you can find a backup of the control file from DDBoost.
So make sure you have both the RMAN logs, and DBID – copies in as many easily accessible places as humanly possibly. If you have a restored copy of the control file – that is good too. with for example:
Restore controlfile to '/home/oracle/backups/node-name-control-file.ctl';
