Open a DOS command shell – with elevated permissions (hint right click while hover over command.com and choose Run As Administrator).
Paste the following in and execute the statement
reg add "HKCU\Software\Classes\CLSID\{86ca1aa0-34aa-4e8b-a509-50c905bae2a2}\inprocServer32" /f /ve
Now reboot – voila! – old behavior is back
